Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 2026-09-05
Last Updated: 2026-09-05
This Privacy Policy explains how LifeCue (the "App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the App.
We are committed to minimizing data collection and protecting user privacy. This policy is intended to describe the App's privacy practices in a clear and practical manner.
Reuse note for future products: replace LifeCue with the applicable app name and verify that the final policy still matches the app's actual data practices, permissions, SDKs, cloud services, analytics, advertising, account system, and other integrations before publication.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect or process information that is necessary to provide the App's functionality.
Depending on how the App is configured and which features you choose to use, this may include:
- information you enter, create, import, or store in the App;
- app settings and preferences;
- information required to provide optional cloud synchronization, backup, restore, purchase, notification, or system-integration features;
- limited technical information generated by the operating system or third-party services used by the App, where applicable.
If the App does not collect or transmit personal data beyond the user's device, then user-created content remains stored locally on the device except where the user explicitly enables an Apple or third-party synchronization, backup, export, or sharing feature.
We do not intentionally collect personal information that is unrelated to the App's core functionality.
2. Information You Provide
You may choose to provide information when using the App, such as content, records, notes, dates, names, categories, attachments, preferences, or other information required by specific features.
This information is used only to provide the functionality you request.
Where the App stores such information locally, we do not receive or access it unless the App expressly includes a feature that transmits the information to a service identified in this policy or at the point of use.
3. Device Permissions
The App may request access to certain system capabilities only when required for a feature you choose to use. These may include, for example:
- Notifications;
- Photos or Files;
- Camera;
- Calendar or Reminders;
- Contacts;
- Location;
- Health data;
- iCloud or other Apple services.
Permission requests are made through the operating system. You can manage or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.
The App should continue to provide all functionality that does not depend on a permission you choose not to grant.
4. Notifications
If you enable notifications, the App may use the device notification system to deliver reminders, alerts, status updates, or other information related to features you have configured.
Notification permission can be changed at any time in your device settings.
Unless otherwise disclosed, notification scheduling performed locally on your device does not require us to collect the underlying reminder content.
5. Cloud Sync, Backup, and Apple Services
The App may offer optional functionality using services provided by Apple, such as iCloud, CloudKit, StoreKit, or other system services.
When these services are used, information may be processed by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
We do not control Apple's independent processing of information through Apple-provided services.
Where the App uses iCloud or CloudKit solely to synchronize user data within the user's Apple account, we do not sell that data or use it for advertising.
6. Purchases and Subscriptions
If the App offers in-app purchases or subscriptions, transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
We do not receive or store your full payment card information.
We may receive transaction-related information necessary to determine purchase status, restore purchases, provide paid functionality, or manage entitlements.
Apple processes payment information in accordance with its own privacy practices.
7. Analytics, Diagnostics, and Crash Reporting
The App may use analytics, diagnostics, or crash-reporting tools to understand app performance, identify errors, improve reliability, or understand general feature usage.
If such services are enabled, they may process limited technical information, such as:
- app version;
- device model;
- operating system version;
- crash information;
- performance information;
- general usage events.
We do not use analytics or diagnostics information to intentionally identify individual users unless this is necessary for a specific feature and clearly disclosed.
If the App does not use analytics or crash-reporting services, this section should be interpreted as not applicable.
8. Advertising and Tracking
Unless explicitly disclosed in the App, LifeCue does not use personal data for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.
If a future version introduces advertising, attribution, tracking, or related third-party SDKs, this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures must be updated before or at the time such functionality is released.
Where tracking requires permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, the App will request that permission before tracking occurs.
9. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party services or SDKs for functionality such as analytics, crash reporting, cloud services, payments, networking, authentication, advertising, or customer support.
Where third-party services process user data, we require or expect those providers to handle the data in accordance with applicable law and with privacy protections appropriate to the service they provide.
Third-party services may also operate under their own privacy policies and terms.
Before release, the App's actual third-party SDKs and services should be reviewed so this policy accurately reflects their data practices.
10. How We Use Information
Where information is collected or processed, it may be used to:
- provide and operate App features;
- save and synchronize user settings or content;
- deliver reminders or notifications;
- restore purchases and manage paid entitlements;
- provide backup, restore, import, export, or sharing features;
- maintain security and prevent abuse;
- diagnose crashes or technical problems;
- improve performance, reliability, and usability;
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use information for unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis or user consent where required.
11. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information.
We do not share personal information with third parties except when reasonably necessary to:
- provide a feature requested by the user;
- use an infrastructure or service provider that supports the App;
- process purchases or Apple platform services;
- comply with law, legal process, or enforceable government requests;
- protect the security, rights, or safety of users, the App, or others.
Where information is shared with a service provider, only the information reasonably necessary for that purpose should be shared.
12. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the relevant functionality, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, or enforce agreements.
Information stored only on your device remains under your control and may generally be removed by deleting the relevant content or deleting the App, subject to any copies you have synchronized, backed up, exported, or stored elsewhere.
Information stored through cloud services may remain subject to the retention and deletion behavior of those services.
13. Data Deletion and User Choices
You may be able to delete information directly within the App, depending on the feature involved.
You may also:
- revoke system permissions in device settings;
- disable notifications;
- disable optional synchronization where supported;
- delete locally stored information;
- delete the App from your device;
- contact us to request assistance with data that is directly controlled by us, where applicable.
If the App includes an account system or stores user information on developer-controlled servers, users must be provided with an appropriate way to request account or data deletion as required by applicable law and platform rules.
14. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are also responsible for maintaining the security of their devices, Apple ID, backups, and any third-party services they choose to use.
15. Children's Privacy
The App is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
If an App is specifically directed to children, or knowingly collects information from children, additional privacy disclosures, parental consent mechanisms, age-related protections, and other legal requirements may apply and must be addressed separately.
16. International Use
If you use the App from a country or region with specific privacy laws, you may have rights under those laws regarding access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or portability of personal information.
The availability and scope of these rights depend on the applicable law and on whether we actually control or process the relevant information.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, legal requirements, platform requirements, or data practices.
When this policy is updated, the "Last Updated" date at the top of the document will be revised.
If changes materially affect how personal information is collected, used, or shared, we will provide notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
18. Contact Us
If you have questions, requests, or concerns about this Privacy Policy or the App's privacy practices, please contact us through the support contact information provided on the App Store product page or the App's official support page.
19. App Store Privacy Disclosure
The privacy information shown on the App Store product page is intended to reflect the App's actual data handling practices.
If there is any difference between this reusable policy template and the App's actual implementation, the policy, App Store privacy disclosure, permission descriptions, and in-app disclosures must be updated so they accurately describe the released version of the App.
